Overview:
The Gantry Crane is a perfect application for the Mini Commander.
The Crane Commander is a kit containing a Mini Commander and all the
necessary wiring and components to make installation a breeze.
When installed, the Gantry
Crane can rotate,
raise/lower the hook, and latch the bucket from the CAB-1 or DCS
remotes.
Operation:
Throttle Knob - Controls speed of rotation or hook
DIR Key -
Selects rotational motion / direction
Boost Key - Selects
Hook Up motion
Brake
Key - Selects Hook Down motion
AUX1 Key - Latch / Un-Latch Bucket or Magnet
AUX2 Key
- Jog Hook Down (while rotating)
Note: For DCS, AX0 is
used for AUX1; HDLT is used for AUX2
The Throttle knob operates the selected motion proportionally.
When the Hook is operated, the last rotational direction is
memorized. Selecting rotational motion after hook control by
pressing the DIR key will send the crane the last direction it was
turning. To reverse rotational direction, press DIR again.
The hook has a tendency to position
up or down as the cab rotates, so the AUX2 key is a jog function that
drops the hook slightly as the crane rotates! No more stopping,
drop the hook, continue rotating sequences!

Speed Selection:
32 speed step activation:
AUX1 + 0 + AUX1 + 0 + BRAKE
100 speed step activation:
AUX1 + 0 + AUX1 + 0 + BOOST
Note for DCS: AX0 is used for AUX1
+ 0 - do not press # 0, only select 32 speeds steps

AUX1 + 8 + BRAKE + 2 (time-out in minutes)
